LOL. So do you still think that doctrine accepted by Judy is not affected
by textual problems? She tries to make her case by pointing to a specific
part of the text, only to have you respond that the text she points toward
is not in your modern version of the Bible.
Actually, David, you do no better a job at reading my posts than does Judy. Please go back and see
what is written after words to the effect "and even if it did ....................." I deal with her
argumentation straight up with comments about Romans 8:5.
Perhaps what you meant to say
is that you don't see where any doctrine that you accept is affected by
textual problems. However, we must assume that the doctrine you accept is
based upon the corrupted modern texts, which means, of course, that you are
employing circular reasoning. All this jibber because you did not bother to carefully read my posted reply !!!

Romans 8:5 defines the state of mind of those who walk in the spirit. It
does teach that walking in the spirit is only a state of mind! PREACH IT BROTHER AND AMEN. MY POINT EXACTLY.

Read Romans 7, John. Walking in condemnation has to do with doing things
contrary to the mind of the Spirit. Romans 8 illuminates us to the idea
that if we mind the things of the Spirit and have faith in Christ, we will
walk in the Spirit, meaning that works follow faith, just as you say.
Therefore, when we walk in the Spirit, we will not experience the
condemnation talked about in Romans 7, which comes from doing those things
that you don't want to do. Our state of mind and our faith determines how
we live. WELL, THIS LAST SENTECE IS MOST AGREEABLE. ROMANS 7:14 FF AND EPH 4:20-24 AND ROMANS 3:23
AND 1 JO 1:8 ALL MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THERE IS A TWO NATURED DUALISM (A CONTINUING CONFLICT). tHE JUDGMENT
FACTOR IS RESOLVED AS GOD LOOKS TO OUR HEART/MIND. OUR LIFE ACTUALLY IMPROVES, GETS BETTER, WE BECOME
WHAT GOD HAD IN MIND AS THE PRACTICE OF RIGHTEOUSNES FLOWS FROM A SPIRIT CENTERED MIND TO THE
EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES OF LIVING OUR LIVES. AT LEAST, THAT IS WHAT I BELEIVE AND TEACH.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
