This is a clear example of putting forth faulty statitics to mislead people. 1. Keep in mind that these statistics only concern Africa, a continent much further away from the USA than they are to Europe. Let's include all the continents, including those we aid within our own nation. 2. This statistic is ignoring the private donations which were much greater than the government donations ($22bn versus $16.3bn). 3. GNI needs to be converted into a per capita figure if you really want to understand personal sacrifice. I haven't done the math, but I am confident it will cause the USA to be shown to be higher, even when considering the aspect of personal sacrifice rather than overall aid. I'll let you do the homework, but this is just another example of how some people play fast and loose with statistics without any concern for what the truth really is. Peace be with you.
