Ok, David. Now that you have gotten that out of your system, shall we continue?   Mine in bold.

Traditions that separate believers from unbelievers is good. Traditions
that separate believers from one another is bad.
Ah, the gospel according to DM. linda shields begins this discussion by asserting flatly
that "traditions" are wrong. You ride into the gray and none of us know what the debate is about!!

Huh? I don't understand your point here.
You don't understand ??!! You just said that traditions which separate believer from believer are
traditions. Slade might not agree with this - but allow me to say: I regard much of what he
presented to this sight to be both excellent and the _expression_ of his tradition. He might, in
return, view my contribution in the same vein. These traditions keep the two of us from being involved
in the ssame _expression_ of worship, for example. Two honest believers separated by tradition.
You will argue that such is bad. I would argue that such is a fact of life.

Read the Bible, John. It speaks of both good and bad traditions. Do a
search on the word tradition and traditions. Do I need to do the homework
for you?
Yes, oh great teacher. do the homework for me. Show me a scripture that speaks to your definition?
Establish your theology in Holy Script for the likes of me. And when you are done with this
assignment, glory in the probability that I will not be able to parrot your comments!!

I will wait your theological response.

Right, and it is not God's will for Methodists, Baptist, Apostolics, etc. to
divide from one another. All believers within a community should embrace
the same traditions and discard those traditions that would divide them from
other believers within their community.

2 Thessalonians 2:15
(15) Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have
been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Colossians 2:8
(8) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after
the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after
Christ.

Peace be with you.
