Read and noted, David. I do not consider the "ungodly men" in Jude to have
ever been "Christians" (in that they had not received the seal of the Holy
Spirit); although I do consider them to have been redeemed by Christ.

In terms of interpreting Jesus' words, I try to let his apostles have the
first say: i.e., it is the commentary of their epistles that takes
precedence over my own, and their interpretation of Jesus that informs me.
As to how consistent I am in doing this, I may not be the best judge :>)
hence I will also continue to consider your commentary alongside my own, as
I attempt to place them both under that of the apostles.
