Comments like this seem to illustrate a lack of understanding of how powerful the Spirit works in our lives. It is almost like you confuse the natural influence of agreement with Scripture with the revelatory power of the Holy Spirit. Agreeing with Scripture brings a change in perspective that helps one accept the truth of Scripture as he studies it, but this is not what the Scripture is speaking about when it promises us the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let me suggest another analogy to what you have posed above. Suppose Jesus Christ came down in the flesh, and he sat down and talked with Vladmir for two months, every day, explaining to him the Sermon on the Mount, Philippians 2, and Galatians 5. Then Vladmir and Bill Taylor sat down to discuss these passages. Whose perspective would more likely approximate the writer's intent? I would pick Vladmir. Who would you pick? Peace be with you.
