It is almost like you confuse the natural influence of agreement with Scripture with the revelatory power of the Holy Spirit. Agreeing with Scripture brings a change in perspective that helps one accept the truth of Scripture as he studies it, but this is not what the Scripture is speaking about when it promises us the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let me suggest another analogy to what you have posed above.
