The problem is not "epistomological" Lance, nor is it "semantics"  Among those who are indwelt by His
Spirit there are many who still walk after the flesh for the most part which is evidenced by the sin problems in
many groups.  Pastors who once dealt with the healing of souls today refer problems out to the world system
and sickness is as rife among Christians as it is out there in the world which ought not to be.  In some groups
there is little or no spiritual discernment.

I don't know if you are hearing about the Natalee Holloway saga in Canada She is the HS Senior who
disappeared in Aruba at the end of her senior trip in May; the story is BIG here.  On Monday Natalee's father
who apparently is a believer tried to visit the boy who was last seen with her and who is in jail to give him three
books (your forte) which were a Bible, Purpose Diven Life, and another one which was unamed - a loving
gesture from one who is grieving over his girl.

ATST they have a psychic (one with a familiar spirit) who claims Natalee is speaking with her from the dead
and who has told the family some very personal things about themselves working with the search team.  When
asked how he felt about that on public TV.  Dave Holloway said that he is an open minded man.  How terribly
sad that he didn't forbid it.  Either he does not know the story of King Saul or he has not learned from it... and
this appears to be the rule rather than the exception in Christendom here anyway - sadly.  judyt

Help me out here, Judy. You ask 'why not'? Ask God why no unanimity exists on the understanding of these
words/concepts? (even on the part of those indwelt by His Spirit). I dunno!
Why not Lance?
Do you think that God was double minded, or that he didn't know what He was saying?
How do you reconcile so many different "interpretations"?  Is the problem with Him or is it with our unbelief?
ie: We (like Israel) can not accept the reality so we make it something other than what He said ...

Every definition of every word leads one to another definition and, another definition. How could one be a TT participant yet fail to note this?

One ought not be a relativist. One ought exhibit epistemological humility.

Example:Surely we can alll agree that the words spirit, soul and, body do appear in their original form throughout Scripture. I'd be inclined toward saying that we would not all agree on the meaning of those words.
