Bill why must we reinvent the wheel?  I am not a student of Augustine but I understand he is presently a doctor of the rcc.  This being the case I know there is a vast gulf between him and spiritual reality.  The rcc teaches that salvation comes by way of baptism - I believe that we must be born again and that is just for a start.  I had no idea it was this bad.   Tell me what is wrong with just believing God's Word?  judyt     On Wed, 20 Jul 2005 12:08:17 -0600 "Bill Taylor" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: Then please explain to us what you are talking about and how it differs from Augustine's view.
