Debbie, funny that you mention that. I call it “storing it away in my brain.”  There a thought or idea may sit, apparently forgotten, for months or years.  It is simmering, or ruminating, waiting for something to come along that solves the question.  I think of Mary who “pondered these things in her heart.”  (Is this just an intuitive feminine activity?) And then one day it pops out when just the right resolution comes along, whether it be a scriptural “revelation” or some other missing puzzle piece that makes it all fit together.  It’s an “Aha” moment.  May we have many of them on TruthTalk! izzy

 


JD, thanks for giving voice to some of my budding objections. I think slowly, and by now you've read my response to David in which I acknowledge that to do his arguments justice, for my part, will take some time and reflection. Sometimes, too, I find back-burnering is the most productive, as insights often sift through from other areas when I shift my focus. (Note the influence of Michael Polanyi there!)
