I don't think Neanderthals were big enough to be the Nephelim.  I consider 
them as simply a subspecies of Homo sapiens.  I think if they were actually 
living today, nobody would suggest them to be a different species. 
Nevertheless, some of the genes from the Nephelim might be in them, and I 
suspect there are genetic remnants still in many people today.

You surely must realize that if the Nephelim could reproduce with us and 
produce offspring that were not sterile, from a biological perspetive, the 
Nephelim themselves are not considered to be a different species from Homo 
sapiens.  At best, they are a subspecies themselves.
