Perhaps I should have said "fully know of Christ's actions in saving man."   It is Paul who draws out some of the comparisons between Christ and Adam.   And,  I believe his (Paul's) references to the conscience included A & E and the garden experience.  
 
We can "know Christ" without reading a single line in the Bible.....but we cannot fully understand Him apart from that revelation.   That is what Torrance believes  --  and he is in good company.
