Why arn't you talking about the "gay issue?" So Judy thinks you first stop being a sinner and THEN Christ can work His way on you. We are supposed to minister the way Jesus did as He is our example
and He always hit sin head on ie He confronted the rich young ruler with his heart of covetousness which he was not Do you actually think not a single homosexual individual appeared at Jesus' feet during those three years He ministered? A profoundly silly notion. Christ ministered in a world in which homosexuality was more common to the culture than it is today. Christ is dead silent on the issue in His personal ministry. Some think this is because He condoned it - I believe that His silence was because it was not the real issue. And so I follow His lead and example.

yet willing to part with. Jesus didn't chase after him and keep talking about grace. He did minister to those God showed
Him and warned them to go and sin no more lest a worse thing come upon them. But He didn't minister to everyone he met. I do not believe this to be true. He was the consummate minister.
Today we take sin so lightly because we don't believe God means what He says or that the chaos in our lives is rooted
in sin and unrighteousness. I son't take sin lightly . Maybe you do yours. God is supposed to bless this mess because of grace, because he loves us so much and this
is the lie. He will not do it because to do so He would have to violate His own Word. You can talk grace till the cows
come home but until this person hears the truth and is willing to repent from the heart God will not honor your words JD. Repentance does not include sinlessness. It is only a change of mental direction. Nowhere does the Message tell us to hear, believe, confess, repent and, oh yes, commit no more sin from here on and I will save you through unmerited grace.

My conversation with him is different from "the others." So, maybe I might be able to make sense to him. What I am not doing is talking about the gay issue, per se. He is but I am trying to get him to stop and examine what it means when it says that "Christ died for us while we were YET sinners." My concern is that he understand the gospel of grace and , and, and, what it really mean s to be "saved."
