I can tell that Bill believes that we are MADE righteous by the activity of Another.   The instant I am "saved,"   I am fully and completely viewed [by God] as being righteous   ------------   long before I do anything ,  well before I have climbed the  Mountain we call Maturity and rested at its summit.    God in Christ has done this for us apart from our efforts or complicity  [in terms of action].

Nothing hopeless about that gospel.   It is the gospel of works that  is  hopeless,  from the fires of hell,   and a heresy before the Lord   (was I straight-forward enough?)

True to form, David!. The good ol' yes/no. Remember those days? Check the archives. You guys declined verbs & discussed prepositions ad nauseum. (nauseum being the operative word) Don't you remember his position on this issue? I do! In the end he couldn't join you on the 'yellow brick road'.
