So was the instant you were "saved" and by what authority do you say this JD?  Well,  I guess I was saved the moment God accepted the faith of Christ in the place of my failing righteousness.  When were you saved.

You might be 'accepted in the Beloved' so long as Jesus is OK with that but God sees you

as you are - warts and all.  He is not into 'reality' games.  Reality is being saved while I was yet a sinner  .....  God no longer taking into account my sins.  

 

well before I have climbed the  Mountain we call Maturity and rested at its summit.  God in

Christ has done this for us apart from our efforts or complicity  [in terms of action]. 

 

Both God and the devil know when they are being conned; a sincere baby believer who is

doing the best they know how may be protected for a time.  However, the curse is all over

those who are still on pablum when they should be ready for strong meat.  Baloney. 

 

Nothing hopeless about that gospel.   It is the gospel of works that  is  hopeless,  from the

fires of hell,   and a heresy before the Lord   (was I straight-forward enough?)

True to form, David!. The good ol' yes/no. Remember those days? Check the archives. You guys declined verbs & discussed prepositions ad nauseum. (nauseum being the operative word) Don't you remember his position on this issue? I do! In the end he couldn't join you on the 'yellow brick road'.
