Matthew told us about the Christ  and God supervised this writing.   Matthew's source of information was , first, oral reporting  (the virgin birth) but [apparently] from first hand sources AND his own eye witness accounting.   He may have used Mark's writing to help organize his gospel.   Peter James and John certainly had first hand info that was not Matthews experience.   Luke makes it very clear that he compared notes (did some research) and wrote his accounting  (Luke-Acts).

Paul spent a great deal of time in preparation, before ministering or writing.   I believe his theology came from Jesus .............  and in that wise, is the word from God.

You linda, do not have a critically thinking mind.   That is not you.   So the theology of the Word versus the written word will escape you.

Can you separate God and His spoken Word? And His incarnate Word? Or His written Word? His Words are part of Him. iz

First,   the Bible contains the Word of God .   Secondly,  Jesus and the Bible are two very different things.   Let's  not make an idol of the Book.   It is what it is  --  but it is not something to be worshipped, Christ is.

I believe the written Word as scripture is just one form of THE WORD of God.
It cannot be brushed aside as less than that IMO. izzy

Jesus is the Word but Jesus is not the TEXT.  Scripture is a subset of the
Word.  The script can be considered secondary to the Logos himself because
the world is not big enough to contain all the texts that could be written
about Him.  None of this is meant to undermine the authority of Scripture.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
