None of those with whom I've worked (of the female persuasion) was either on TV or, in the movies. It is those to whom I refer as being more competent than most of their male counterparts.Were I to guess (I'm about to do so now), I guess that you haven't had nearly the varied experience in the workplace that I have.    As to the 'second fiddle' thingy, David...I'd recommend 'The Trinity & Subordinationism - The Doctrine of God & The Contemporary Gender Debate' Kevin Giles. She may not marry someone with the character > of her Dad.   Christine is not preparing herself to be self sustaining.  She is receiving an education.  Women should be educated, not illiterate, barefoot and pregnant.  Furthermore, if she marries an educated man, she needs to be able to think on his level.  I married my wife before she was educated.  It was important to me that she not only complete college, but also that she complete graduate school and receive her Master's degree, not so she could be self sustaining, but so that she could be educated and intelligent in her thinking and speaking.  The Bible teaches us that the woman is the glory of the man.  My wife and my daughters are my glory, so it is natural for me to see that they better themselves in the best possible way.    I'm glad you appreciate my support of Christine to pursue college, but you and I probably have different reasons in mind for doing this.  :-)   Peace be with you.
