It was not a matter of a few "biased" people believing in the Trinity...I understand that the Trinity was taught in official church educational materials. In the front of the Bom, there is a statement that affirms the Trinity (unless it has been changed since I got my version!) Unless I am mistaken they distinctly state that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are one God. That sure sounds like the Trinity to me!
