Why don't the moderator(s) (plural?) set up some
sort of a code of conduct with respect to our mutual engagement? IMO, there
exists a double standard with respect to them and us. We, or so it would appear,
are entitled to SLANDER THEM (Mormons being the 'bad' guys) but, they are not
able to SLANDER US!!(Christians being the 'good guys') What's the deal with
that. Even the moderator occasionally engages in 'conduct
unbecoming'.
As to the issue of THE CROSS, I do believe that the
Mormons reflected a stance that is both discourteous and heretical. I don't
expect them to agree with the latter but, I do expect an apology as to the
former.
It would appear that we have several persons on TT
who are well acquainted with the beliefs/practices of the Mormon faith. IMO, it
does not appear that the Mormons on TT as as well acquainted with the
beliefs/practices of the Christian faith. Is there any way for us to start from
'square one' and fruitfully engage one another.
SUGGESTED STARTING POINT:
THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF
GOD / THE MORMON DOCTRINE OF GOD
THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF
SALVATION / THE MORMON DOCTRINE OF
SALVATION
Is anyone interested?
