If I remember well, there was a discussion at TUL that the auth based on
google account in rietveld is an issue for some users. I found
http://code.google.com/p/django-gae2django/  as an example to replace
googles app engine api with a local one. If there is interest in
replacing/extending the current auth, I can take a deeper look. Possibly
we can build a single sign on for issue tracker and codereview with a
local user database ...
