On squeeze, mercurial version is ok (1.6.4)
on lucid, I installed maverick's mercurial-common and mercurial packages
(1.6.3)
then hgnested worked ok
r...@vtryton:~# pip install --install-option="--user" hgnested
Downloading/unpacking hgnested
  Downloading hgnested-0.2.tar.gz
  Running setup.py egg_info for package hgnested
Requirement already satisfied: Mercurial>=1.5.0 in
/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6 (from hgnested)
Installing collected packages: hgnested, Mercurial
  Running setup.py install for hgnested
Successfully installed hgnested

Paul, Thank you for the link to your pages I will use as reference. How
do you deal with modules interdependencies and modules uncompatibility ?
or may be you don't need to because you know.
