Hi Anthony,
you may be interested in some work we did with OpenERP. Unfortunately it 
didn't have enough support from OpenERP sa, but there was interest in the 
community. I think it was udo who also was interested but some comments in our 
blog where removed for some issues in our server some time ago. Anyway, here's
