First, Bio Eco Forests & SCIL made this proposition because we think that the best for the Android Client is to be hosted on Tryton infrastructure which is: - held and administered by an independent organization - full featured - The plan is to develop a Tryton Android client, following Tryton philosophy and taking in account mobile devices specificities. - Bio Eco Forests will maintain Android client because Bio Eco Forests need it. Bug reports/patchs/translations/reviews/... are welcome The client was also developped with the focus on code accessibility. We already made some patches with no prior Java knowledge. Cedric from SCIL is also present on IRC and can give some help. - Async communication is nonsense for GTK client but make sense for an Android client. - At first releases could be done when new features are added (http://trac.scil.coop/tryton_android/wiki/SupportProgress). Documentation of the Android client could mention which Tryton versions are currently supported for each Android client release.
