Thanks again for the comments. There is of course another route for
getting the functionality, and that is discuss (and action) the topic as a
community. I assume that you are right, "It can not be done just like that
by email" but what I can contribute, I will (big claim from someone not
very familiar with the tryton project or python). The foundations appear to
be solid for tryton and python is apparently a good language to learn.
What's the best way of getting this topic discussed, and moving forward?
Are others in need of such functionality?

I buy materials from suppliers and they advise me of the recommend trade
price (maybe called RRP in other industries) and also my buy price (Cost).
I would like to make a purchase against the supplier and also allocate the
material to a project for invoicing later. When the material is posted to
the project, it has a cost, a trade price and depending on the customer
offer the sale price will be cost plus a margin OR will be trade price plus
or minus a margin.

eg widgets cost $10, trade price (RRP) is $20.
So could be sold for cost + %50 = $15
Or could be sold for trade price +10% = $22
Or could be sold for trade price -10% = $18

Are there other pricing schemes that would be applicable for project / job
costing?
