If you don't go with one of the above way. You choose the hardest way,
for someone new, which is: confince someone with the capacity to make it
for you for free.
But for that you have to define the precise requirements about the new
feature, and not talk about your specific configuration. You can do it
on this ML if it is generic or you have to do it in private.

And if you expect it to be included in Tryton, it has to be generic,
fulfill the needs of the largest, integrate with the other workflows,
follow the same design patterns etc.

I personnaly find it is a very complex topic to be solved in a generic
way. FYI, we (B2CK) have already design similar requirements but it was
always in a custom way.

For example, the project invoice module (for time only) was a very
similar difficulty and it took at least 3 years to get a generic,
modular solution. We have done at least 3 times custom modules for it
before having the current one.
