Hmmm...in theory a contract can origin from a sales opportunity, and it should
have a clear status - draft, active, expired, cancelled. It should be possible
to use an expired/cancelled contract as blueprint for a new one (contract was
cancelled but customer comes back)
Yes but linking contract to opportunities is the scope of onother
module. Here were are only defining the contract base.
So for me a workflow would be (as reflected on Blueprint): 'draft',
'negotiating', 'active', 'canceled'
And transitions:
draft -> negotiating
draft -> canceled
negotiating -> active
negotiation -> canceled
active -> canceled

Not sure what the impact of the billing method is. Mostly those cntracts have
an automatic, periodically billing of the services received in between - is
that what you mean? Does tryton currently allow periodic billing? (Dont know)
A cron can be used to generate billing for automatic billing contracts.
So billing method would be:
- manual
- automatic
Other modules can add new invoicing methods, for example on value
contract can invoice based on sales related to this contract.
