Of course not, they won't sue themselves.
But if I can't deliver the project linked to GPL software when I've been 
told not to do it.

Ok, you convinced me to search more about this licensing stuff in order to 
challenge the head of IT :-)
If I find an evidence that a Tryton module can legally be licensed under 
LGPL then I can argue.
