HW or SW RAID?

Why not? For the latter, use HW raid if possible. I'm assuming you'll be running an IBM ServeRAID controller which has great Linux support throguh its own driverline called ips.

I am trying to install TSL 2.2 to an IBM xSeries 236 server with 2 SCSI disks in RAID 1.
TSL CD is the TSL2.2-20050113.
I have configured the two disks (SCSI Id 2 and 3), as a RAID 1 disk.
But TSL seems not recognize it automatically.
What are I missing?

Which RAID controller?
