Well, I followed a bit of Christians advice, and rebooted with the rescue CD. I then copied over a compiled version of the new aic79xx.o driver. I then when and recreated a new initrd image. I noticed that it picked up the aic79xx.o driver. I am thinking this might have been a missing piece of mine. So then I rebooted, and thats when I got the following where the Lilo prompt should be:
L 99 99 99 99 ... and then it continues for about 5 lines. I was told that Grub had problems with md devices (as I am doing software RAID), so to use Lilo. But I know this is a Lilo issue now. Should I use Grub? Are there still problems with md devices? Thank you, -- Jason C.
