It turned out an error in kernel 2.6 timings. Although the driver is correct, the timings too strict, and the hw does not answer in time.
Looking around in forums for such issue. The only reference I found was: http://www.opensubscriber.com/message/[email protected]/71351.html Meanwhile, I'm installing 2.2 & searching for linux 2.6 compatible hw. This is the second piece of hw not working on TSL 3.0 (first was a supermicro DER370+ server). It seems Linux 2.6 won't work on any of my servers. Maybe some IBM....
