The Apache fundation naming it's web server software 'httpd' is imho a bit like Microsoft naming their word processor 'Word'. I like the freedom of FOSS and that includes the option to choose. There is more than 1 httpd in this world, and I think it's ok not to call the biggest one 'httpd'. :) But I agree, apache was a bad example. Packages should be named in a way that uniqly identifies them. The correct nameing for apache httpd is perhaps apache-httpd? :) But since we don't ship any other software from apache, that's really not needed right now. c -- Christian H.
