Complain to your distribution.

It looks like your distribution decided to rename glib2 to glib. You
seem to
have version 2.6 already installed, so installing 2.4 is probably not
what you
want.

Versions 1.x and 2.x can be intstalled at the same time, and like Auke
said
they often are, but you can't install two different packages of glib
2.x.
