This seems to be the major showstopper for Linux servers in smaller
businesses. I've been looking at this for almost a year and there are no
solutions out there based 100% on OSS that will integrate with MS
Outlook. http://openconnector.org/ does look promising, though!

If you are willing to spend a few bucks there is usually some plugin for
Oulook availible (the rest of the solution is OSS).

I think I'm going the route of a webbased app which includes all (based
on the HORDE framework and applications by the HORDE team). Today we use
an ancient version of Lotus Notes and as soon as the
groupware-functionality is stable in HORDE I will most likely make the
switch.

The strongest argument for a webbased app is availibility and
maintainability, making clients thinner.
