Hi,

I'm trying to isntall Trustix 3.0 on a Dell PowerEdge 1750 with software
raid and I keep getting errors after the installation process, when the
system tries to mount partitions. I have tried deleting the partitions
and recreating them and everytime I get the same problem.

Here is what I get during the mount process on boot:
--------------------------------
Checking root filesystem
mount: mount point /var/lock does not exist

fsck.ext3: no such device or directory while trying to open /dev/evms/md/md0
superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem [...]

umount /var/lock: not found
--------------------------------

When I try to issue the command that it suggests to fix the superblock
(since it was formatted in ext3), I get teh following error:
e2fsck: bad magic number in superblock

If I go through the same install procedure but do not use software RAID,
everything works fine. The install CD that was used for this is
trustix-3.0-200512141713.i586.iso.

Does anyone have any idea on how this could be fixed?

Thanks a lot,
Steve Johnson
