Hi there,

I have a TSL2.2 system running postfix+cyrus since last year without any
major probs, but today pop3/imap went really slow.

It takes from 5 to 40 seconds from "telnet localhost 110" to the welcome
prompt. It's definitly not a DNS issue, I tcpdumped everything and the
dns query is finished right away.

What I figured out, if I "find /var/spool/cyrus-imap -print" then it
hangs at the proc directory for a long time even only a handfull of
files are in there. It's fast right after starting cyrus, but it gets
slower and slower. I think this causes the delay of pop3d/imapd, because
these processes are storing ther PID in thid directory, right?

Whats the deal here? What is cyrus doing with this directory?

TIA for any help, I'am totally lost.
