Security has nothing to do with running the latest versions. They are 
often prone to bugs and are less tested anyways. A good distro will run 
stable versions and in some cases even backport securityfixes to older 
releases. Changing to the latest and greatest might cause problem for 
some as features are added or removed, or even the behaviour is changed.

Today Trustix isn't more secure than most other distros, but they once 
stood out from the crowd. But if you search the archives you will find 
some info from the devs revealing that the next version will have more 
focus on security again.
As long as Trustix is shipping updates like they currently do they will 
be a secure distro.

If you look at Debian stable they run truly ancient versions, but are 
both secure and stable.

That said, I'm leaning towards the security of the community based 
distros. But I do use Trustix for several production servers today and 
have no trouble sleeping.

Time to put on some sun lotion again!
