I have a via epia running about 60 imap office users, 1gb ram, having the webserver (not very loaded) running typo3 and some galleries, and the machine doesn't feel slow even on two 2.5 inch drives kernel raid1. my setup is postfix+amavis+clam+cyrus+mysql (virtual users) and the webcyradm admin interface, but both the admin interface and cyrus installation is nothing that I would say is as easy as courierimap and traditional users ... > > What I would also like to know is a typical backup/recovery > procedure in the > event that such a server had to be rebuilt. The reinstall is neccessary since I don't have the money for identical machines, so I might have a huge server xeon+scsiraid, and a little sata pc for the trial. since mailsetup and maildata is saved from logical location (e.g. / var and /etc) it is pretty likely that the backup would restore and work on any plattform having enough space. that's just my way, but there are different ways to do it... > > Finally a totally non TSL or linux related question. But you might want to ask the folks you paid at redmond this question. maybe they answer as fast as we do ... matthias > > > Thanks! > > > _______________________________________________ > tsl-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.trustix.org/mailman/listinfo/tsl-discuss _______________________________________________ tsl-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.trustix.org/mailman/listinfo/tsl-discuss
