Certainly. There's no error message per se, since it just hangs. However it is a normal kernel (Never actually had to choose, so its the one that gets installed by default, ie there's only the entry in grub and no mention of smp). As for partitions, just 2 ext3 ones and a swap. I'll also take this oppertunity to correct myself, in that I meant to say "Creating block devices" not "Creating device nodes". As before, it happens around that point in boot where the kernel prints the line about the keyboard it found (eg input: AT Translated blah...) and specifically once it prints the "Creating block devices". No errors, beeps... it just sits there seemingly forever.
