I can answer that one.

TSLUG at Truman proposed to ACM at Truman that we invite ESR to speak on
campus this year. Funding for a fall event fell thorugh, but we've been
trying to organize a Spring lecture tour. As you can see, that tour
includes UM-Columbia. Unfortunately, ESR has been very slow turning
around our last email and so far we haven't been able to confirm that he
will actually come, much less book airline tickets and publicize the
event in a big way.

It might be nice to call him and remind him about our email, but he is
very big on privacy and his phone number is not available...
