... And this brings me to my big issue: when I say something like "emerge sync" or "emerge gnome" or "emerge [anything]" I get a Segmentation Fault. This is a problem.
One of my Gentoos would do this when there was a problem with the filesystem. Silly ReiserFS had screwed up. :-( Do file system checks and see if you have any problems would be my suggestion...it's always a good one though. :p
