Dear all, I had an experience with a multifunction MP3 player called "Matrix". It is a Chineese product; and what else is not! The player is also a flash memory with 256MB RAM, and a voice recorder. The FM radio is external on the headphones. The function keys are not very easy to use. The output quality of the sound is fine and the operation is ok. It is mentioned that it can be updated but I was unable to find a site that offers an update file for this product. To my surprise, I found the exact product on a Chineese site without any name and sold in "gros". The exact shape and function of the "Matrix" product (sold in Egypt) is sold under the name "Rhombus" MP3 player in the Gulf region. Three months of good operation and with every care in handling this product, one day it decided not to function. The product as a comment was consuming too much batteries. It operates on a one AAA battery. In Egypt, the guarantee is useless because of the dealer. Thank God, I bought the product (US$178) through a renamed channel hypermarket. The market did all the negotiations on my side with the dealer and after three months they succeeded to get a replacement of another brand. The first report of this dealer was: I found a "sweet" solution within the player on the board and it needs replacement and off course the fees on the customer (US$65). When I refused his comment for the simple reason that no one is working in IT area will taste a solution found within an electronic device. In buying multifunction MP3 players, I suggest obtaining a renamed brand such as the MSI mega stick and MSI mega player, IRIVER , creative or LG. Beware of no brand or brand on demand.
