There is a new and much simpler way to communicate, than having to manage e-mail lists and sending out reminders and news stories all the time. When your group members subscribe to the RSS feed, they can become informed, just by turning on their computer, and opening the RSS feed program. This is where the recipient CHOOSES to receive information, instead of "missing something" because they get too much e-mail; or SPAM blockers have successfully stopped the good e-mail from coming through.
Some Yahoo Groups have way too much e-mail. RSS is the solution. You can belong to many groups, and take advantage of the headlines of the messages, instead of getting ALL of the messages. This is the so-called RSS, which is a part of the new Windows Vista, and is available for all existing computers too. - - - What is RSS? The initials RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. When you visit a website, RSS is shown by the display of a familiar orange logo with the letters RSS. If you have special RSS Reader software on your computer, you can subscribe to the RSS feed for that website (and others). For the subscriber, the RSS feed will provide alerts and messages of updates and new information. For Windows 2000 and Windows XP,, I use a simple program called FeedReader.
