I understand removing them might be difficult, which is why I intend to support v0.7.X with bug fixes for a while. v0.7.X will still have run scripts, but v0.8 development will go on master, which will eventually have the run scripts removed. I'll still put out the run-script changes on a separate branch for testing before merging to master though.
