I have tried a few other things, and setting "complexObjectModel=false" has
worked for me.. It generates all the classes fine..

could it be 'cos certain parts of my schema is not supported by Torque, and
hence it throws this error?

Make sure you turn on DTD validation because sometimes it is a problem with
your .xml file.
