I might be ignorant here, but I simple marked about four months of
this mailing list as "read" and deleted it. I found out what Plexus is
(it seems to become an Avalon compatible container for components (the
eighth according to
http://jakarta.apache.org/avalon/framework/reference-containers.html)
but what the heck is "Summit"?

People, what's would have been so bad in calling the "fulcrum"
repository "jakarta-turbine-services" when there was the chance for
it? Do we really have to invent new (and most of the time
non-descriptive) names for projects?

BTW: According to dict.leo.org, a "fulcrum" is "a part of an animal
that serves as a hinge or support" or "the support about which a lever
turns" or "one that supplies capability for action" (the third
definition might go by a stretch to meet the function of the fulcrum
repository)

A "summit" is "the highest point". Now that's a telling description. :-)
