I guess that releasing it makes sense. It probably ought to come with
some warning/disclaimer. It's more or less deprecated! Is there a README
or other notice in the distribution?

ever use it outside of turbine-2.3), everyone is still using various
beta versions ranging between b3 and b5.
I took a small amount of time to clean up the stratum tree, shrink
wrap it and make it fit for an 1.0 release. To forget about it
afterwards.
So let's release this bugger and get on with life. :-)
