Well, I was also there, didn't laugh and was actually bothered
enough to intercept the guy who presented himself as the maintainer
of the Tomcat FAQ at jguru (I think his name is Alex). I told him
I could think of several good scenarios for having Tomcat with no
support for JSPs. He agreed with me, and mentioned himself using
templating languages, and how there is a group of people who, let's
say, "dislike" JSPs. I asked him if he could add this to the Tomcat
FAQ, and volunteered to send him an intelligible question and answer
regarding Tomcat sans JSP support; I'll do that after I go back to
Chile.
