Check your turbine property file settings [more info can be found in mailing
list archives].
I develop on Win2000 [tomcat 3.2.2, mySQL, Turbine 2.1] and deploy to Linux
[tomcat 3.2.3, mySQL, Turbine 2.1]. I find a quirk in that all logging works
fine in Linux [realtime update of turbine log file]. But on Win I find all
log messages are output only when I stop tomcat...
Don't know how much this info will help given that I don't use Turbine like
you have, i.e. standalone for db and logging.
