I agree. The learning curve is quite steep. I am currently trying to
develop a HelloWorld application utilizing Velocity and Turbine(no DB
access and no security) just to get an idea of how to put together VM
files and action classes.
However, I have not been successful so far. It is not clear to me which of
the the numerous config files in web-inf/conf are required for an app like
mine ...
If I am not using a database should I turn off the TORQUE and sql related
targets in the build.xml in the root directory? What other targets should
I turn off?
How should I define my app.root and share.dir parameters in the build.xml
file, if I am not using the sample application?
