Perhaps you could look at the pet store example that Sun uses as a J2EE
demo.

Hello Once Again!!!
In my previous post I wrote that I'm waiting open-minded for
some proposals of my M.A. thesis.
Now, I have some good ideai (I hope J ). What do you think about Shop
Generator basis of Turbine. In the very first step I would like to code some
model shop, that will contain all necessary logic and basic UI.. Next, I
will build Adminstration Site, to manage this model shop. Finally it is
necessary to build scripts to make possible quicly build new shops.
What in you oppinion should contain such a model shop, to what degree UI
whould be genereted by this generator, etc. I'm waiting for your oppinions
and remarks.
