You might want to look at Zope (a Python web platform). There was a 
discussion over on commons-dev about how Java lacks something as 
accessible as Zope. What would be great with Turbine/TDK is that you 
could build the web interface as a self-contained app, rather than 
having it bound as deeply into the product as Zope.
